We are in the middle of a heat wave here in South Australia. We have had a week of days over 40 degrees celsius and are expecting another week of it. Out driving today it's obvious the parklands are suffering. Dry, brown and parched looking, it makes me remember driving around England last year. I couldn't believe how green the place was - everywhere we went was beautiful green lush fields.

It reminds me of this photo I took out the front windscreen of our hire car. We had just left London and were heading north. A beautifully quaint country road......
